MY COMPUTER DIED !!!! ;__;

My motherboard finally succumbed after years of dutyful service and loyal company, not even the smallest fan works, the capacitors seem to be alright but energy is not distributed , my dear navi has died

At least least with her remains I will rise a new monster with her undead parts, as much as I can anyways, assuming that I manage to find a motherboard for double nucleous processor that supports sata and ide disks, and both agp and pci cards, I dont want to waste my sound card (its a sound blaster) or the other cards and components.

Right now Im writing on my travel minilaptop, so expect even more typos than usual ¬_¬ and sorry for my even slower reply rate.

Aún hay mucho que los historiadores pasan por alto , sobre todo respecto a las personas que protagonizaron los hechos , y son los que convivieron con ellos quienes pueden compartir esos datos y muchas anecdotas, y es nuestro deber con nuestra historia, nuestro pasado y nuestras familias el recabar este conocimiento antes de que la niña blanca se nos adelante y esas historias se pierdan para siempre.

--------------------------------------------MEXICAN REVOLUTION ANTECEDENTS

Last strip was a raw introduction and generalities of the mexican revolution, but lets start with what let to it.

Pictiure México in 1908, the country was in mayority rural, Don Porfirio Diaz was still very popular, electricity and the moderns of the XX century were ain the country, automoviles, telegraph, recorded music , etc . The railroads were México´s pride and joy, the ports busted with activity and merchandise, the industries were developing and the peso was a lot more valuable than the dollar, México was potence of the continent.

Yet small towns and properties were controled by the haciendas (plantation) and were actually part of them in rural areas and for industry, foreing companies had the control and labor workers were practically slaves (like all labor force everywhere during the industrial revolutiion) , they were paid in goods or sometim,es with coins of the place were they worked worthless everywhere else, and were forced to purchase in the raya stores of the place they worked too, so they got on debt with this stores and debts were heritaged, so they accumulated ttrough generations.

1908 you can say that it was in this year that started things.

But the antecedents comoe from 2 strikes, first in Cananea in 1906, in the state of Sonora (its frontier with USA), a bunch of copper mines were acquired by an USAn company , which refused to abid to the mexican law that at some point decided to fire a lot of workers, double work hours and things of the sort, miners went on strike, and the owners of the company contacted texan rangers to break the strike, so on that year USAn forces surprised mexican frontier officers and invaded our territory to go to Cananea and massacre
the workers, after they were already in mexican territory the governor of the state allowed the company to use such force and the dirigents of the strike were sent to San Juan de Ulua, a very famous island prision (ill cover prisions in a future strip) and the rest were forced to go back to work.

Another strike in that year was even worse, the one in Cananea was brutal, but what happen in Rio Blanco Veracruz was a massacre, it was more or less the same, but instead of miners they were factory workers, and the strike extended to various places, near the city of Orizaba, normally Díaz was arbiter between companies and workers, and he usually went in favor of the workers, but this time he didn´t and under of menage of the usage of force many places went back to work, but in Rio Blanco they refused, then the owner of the raya store shot a person and the muyltitud revolted, later when the people went to extend the movement to the near city of Nogales the army received them with a bullet storm, the deads were never counted.

A bunch of stuff, but lets try to keep it simple.

REGENERACION NEWSPAPER :

The (super XD ) Flores Magon brothers , made the mayor liberal newspaper, it was called "regeneración" and denounced the corruption and abuses of the goverment and companies .

DIAZ- CREELMAN INTERVIEW:

In 1908 president Diaz gave an interview to a guy called creelman (here it is [link] )
, basicallyDiaz said that México was ready for free elections and that he would not compete for the presidency in the next elections, even tough he was still VERY popular . The problem was that he said nothing about the vicepresidency (at that moment México still used a vicepresident) , even the most conservatives of the porfirists new that a change was needed , Don Porfirio had 80 years already, and given the circunstances the new vicepresident would be the next president. And the most likely candidate was someone named Bernardo Reyes , a guy that had the support of almost every group, unfortunately the guy was sent to a far diplomatic post , a veiled exile, thts when Diaz lost a lot of his supporters.


MADERO:

The little guy was an idealist and was part of the burguesy (he had money and contacts) ,he was incarcelated and lost the elections against Díaz, he tried by the legal ways but being these closed off he then scaped to the northern states and called a revolution.


THE REYISTAS:

the former supporters of Reyes were not happy with Díaz and recognizing the need for a change , supported Madero.


-----------------------------------------------THE REVOLUTION STARTS

Madero made a call to arms against the 20 of november of 1910 with the Plan of San Luis (originally made in the state of San Luis Potosi) , the aformented day he tried to back down, but people were already aroused and things went on, eventually various cities (with the help of general Orozco) were captured untiol ciudd Juarez in Chiuhuahua fell too, that impact was very big (cd Juarez has always been important) and before worse things hgappened President Don Porfirio Diaz called quits and abandoned the country, there was an interine goverment, elections were called and this time Madero won, and then did nothing, at least not with the velocity it was required.

Madero´s goverment :

It was soft, it leved the same system and was weak. An epic fail. but Ill adress that later.

OH YEAH The Maximiliano México mentions is Maximiliano de Habsburgo, mentioned in the strip " 2° mexican empire" in the gallery

Huerta:

Darth Vader looks noble in comparision, he is the prototipe of the corrupt, evil military general, but there is more to the story.

USA in the mexican revolution:

There was so much (fucked up) involvement that Ill will have to make a strip about that later, so trolls beware.
